These 2 are my nieces, and they are also twins (not identical FOR SURE!). This photo was taken in a classroom at the church.

I realize this was not a planned portrait session, but that HUGE expanse of bare skin - shoulder and back - pull the eye away from the faces. Crop that thing JUST below her hair and you have a pretty good image.

Which one did you have in mind, 1 or 2, or something else entirely?

Personally, I like door #2. It does appear like the eyes are a bit soft, but I still think it is a cool image

I kinda like the closer crop myself, but I went back to see if I could make a good picture frame size crop, and came up with this 7x5 one. I also pulled the saturation back a little too, but not sure if I like it as well as the others. Thanks for the input on this one.

Cropped at 7x5

Captain,

What do you mean by "pull the eyes away from the faces"?

I believe what he means is that the shoulder and bare skin is so large and bright that it draws are eyes and attention away from the face, which is where we as a photographer, would like to have the viewer to concentrate on. After all the trouble we go through to eliminate all the facial flaws, why would we want the viewer staring at a big patch of skin.

If you would crop a little tighter on the right side,I believe this to be a wall hanger.

I suppose I could , but was trying to keep all of her hair in the scene, and still have a 7x5 crop. Also was trying to keep a semblance of the "Rule of Thirds".

No not the hair side. The table.Kind of too much empty space.Just my opinion of course.
