I used the discounted inks in my Epson printer, and many of the cartridges were not recognized by the printer, they also clogged
the inkjets. Bottom line: Stick with Epson cartridges.

Been using refillable carts for two, years now in my 3880 with no problems, have to buy quality inks. Cut ink cost by 60-70% by switching to bulk Cone Inks from Ink Jet Mall. John Cone has worked with manufacturers in ink jet for years and developed a set of inks that match Epson inks perfectly.

Direction #2: Those wonderful 60" organic LCD displays are thinner than my picture frames, and are sufficiently vivid and sharp that they may replace my prints altogether. My unmanageable collection of prints of all sizes may be excising the vestigial Luddite in me! I'm almost 100% digital - from camera sensor to LED display. No inks, no paper - just glorious dynamically changing imagery on the wall.
Unlimited wall space, no UV print fading concerns, and no picture hangers. Who could ask for more??

Went in a photo gallery in Monterey that was just wall to wall big LCD panels (32"+) with photos changing every few minutes. No prints to be seen anywhere.

Very interesting. I'm surprised, as many artists I know would never allow that medium for their work.
I'm sure we will see them in the Midwest and East Coast shortly.

I have an Epson photo printer. I have seen remanufactured ink cartridges at a great price at Clicklinks.com. Has anyone had any dealings with them or used remanufactured cartridges?

I highly recommend using the manuf ink(epson). I can only speak for HP. But there is a specific formula, viscosity etc that works well when using the right ink. You can run into all sorts of problems if using a third party ink. HP will void any warranty if other inks are used.

What model Son do you have? If you use Epson pigment inks you might try Ink Jet Mall and see if they have refillable carts for your model. I have been using Cone Inks for almost two years in my 3880 with excellent results. They are quality inks, google John Cone.
