I am thinking of purchasing a square filter kit compatible with Conklin P series. Has many filters adapter rings + 2 filter holder + 2 lense hood ...which is advertised in Amazon.
I was just wondering if anyone has had purchased this product or if you can make some recommendations about the purchase of ND filters. If it makes a difference I have a Canon 2ti.
Any recommendations appreciated.

If you can afford it, choose Lee instead
Severums,
Is the brand "Lee"?
Thanks Severums for the information. I will check it out.
The cheap filters you find on Ebay and Amazon are just that... cheap.
You will get color casts and uneven gradation that will vary from filter to filter. Because I am sure they have a quality control inspector to make sure they meet standards you expect, but he was asleep.
A friend bought some ND filters thinking she would be able to do the same as I only for less cost. Color casts varied from deep purple to magenta on one and another was a consistent purple.
If you want to use that type of system, purchase quality... remember you have a lot of money in your lens for quality optics, why shoot it through a dirty colored window? Unless that's the look you are wanting.
Jubilee,
Thanks for the information. I appreciate the valuable input.

True!
Stick to the actual Cokin brand, or Lee or several other well known brand names supporting the Cokin filter system.
The e-Bay "Cokin system" stuff is trash (distorted plastic) and not worth the trouble even if they were free! Seriously.
Festina Lente,
Thanks for the information. I know that I will just have to spend the big $$$'s to get good filters.
Thanks again.

I have the Cokin Z - its the largest size. They work good for me. Check out the largest lens the P series will fit and compare to your kit

Yes I agree, Lee have a larger selection of filters and thet are better quality too.
I have the cokin Z filters, but have started to move over the the Lee filters now.
My personal opinion of Cokin or any of their knock-offs is not very high at all.
I would strongly recommend going directly to Lee and bypassing Cokin altogether.
Cokin grad NDs have a definite magenta colour cast.
Yes. I bought one of those kits.it has eight filters.2-ND
and six Graduated filters, came in a nice black filter case.
also had 6 adadpter ring..mine was from 58-77. so they will
fit any lens you have in that range..hope this helps.
I love it only about $18.00 from China..where else ??

Not necessarily so. The Cokin filter system is LESS EXPENSIVE than buying circular filters for each lens size and they are easily changed and combined. Stacking neutral density filters is one good example when many professionals chose them.
Also, since they have been around for decades, you can find true Cokin brand filters used on several websites.
Just be careful of the imitations from China on eBay!! They are shrewdly and deceptively marketed.
