Well since the entire thing is about money and constantly moving new product the makers will come up with a "can't live without" camera of some kind.

They thought it would be the EVIL camera but I'm getting the idea now that people are actually smarter than the makers give them credit for and saying I want a "real" camera not some expensive, over rated pocket toy.

So, wait and see I guess.

better wireless functionality. In a few years you'll be able to access and post photos to facebook via the LCD in the back of your camera (which is about 4 inches big now :)

I'm hoping for a little side door (like the one you open with your finger nail now to insert a cable of some sort) that has an icon of a martini glass...out reels a small tube with a button that ejects an ounce of Jack....

Enough with the pixels. Files sizes have gotten too big as it is. I'd like to see improvements to in-camera HDR (multiple shots, covering the entire expose range, combined in the camera)...or in-camera focal length combinations of various shots to get hyper focal length shots, impossible with any given lens.

Agree, and would like to see a better alternative for fine tuning auto focus on zoom lenses, perhaps a range of 5 extra focal length stops.

I would like to see a DSLR with as few electronic controls as possible. Back to the old days of mechanical film cameras, Change the aperture on the lens throat, shutter speed on a dial at the top and a mechanical lever to stop down the lens. Being able to change the sensor would be nice too. Oh for the days when as film was improved you didn't have to buy a new camera to use it.

The Sony NEX-6 does both of those things. Up to 5 EVs HDR in camera and up to 100% increase in focal length with some of their lenses. Works pretty good too.

NO, NO... shaking creates fuzzy photos...

I want 24 megapixel 30fps video. Forget composition, just run around waving the camera like a lunatic and pick a frame.

Well, maybe not that crazy, but it would make a helluva burst mode...

I've tried shooting after a drink or too. Didn't work out so good.
