Edward's Store was a stop along the Butterfield Overland Mail Route between 1858 - 1861 in Choctaw Territory (now Oklahoma). It was a dinner stop with the stage station 5 miles down the route. The building is log and what is called a "dog run house" (living qtrs 1 building and sleeping qtrs the other. All under 1 roof.) The corners of the building are dovetailed together. Was the original post office for Red Oak, OK in 1868. Located about 8 miles n.e of Red Oak. It is privately owned
