Got my 1.4x converter today. These are my first attempts. Really shooting at the wrong time of day. Lost my light fast.
Let me know what you think about them. Let me have it right between the f-stops.

They look fuzzy. Just about like my experience with converters. I ended up selling mine.

They are fuzzy. Just wanted to get a couple online for baseline opinions. Hopefully, they'll get better with better shooting conditions. Going to try again later today, I hope. Thanks for looking and commenting. I appreciate it.

For BIF I set my exposure at 1/1000, spot focus, and continuous shooting. I have the camera set to only fire when it is in focus. Then I pan with the shutter held down and it shoots when it is happy.

Hope that helps.

Hi xphotog1 :-) Your timing is excellent, the action in both shots is well captured. So that's a bonus :-) I have never used a converter so I cant help there. I would think bearing in mind my comments above its going to be down to the ability of the equipment used. As you said these are your first attempts, when I tried my dragonflys in flight shots it took me 3 days and many hours shooting to get somewhere near what I envisaged, even now I cant wait to go back next summer and try again. Keep practicing you have the natural ability..:-)
