Hello everyone. I am glad to have found this site. I am a beginner and don't know much about digital photography, I am more of a point and shoot kind. I recently bought Canon T3i and after reading few forums, I got a Canon 50mm 1:1:8 II & a Conon 55-250 mm lenses. I throughly enjoyed taking good pictures with them. But wasn't comfortable taking videos of my family at home because of the range.
So ! thinking of trading in the Canon 55-250mm lens with either a Canon 18-200 or Tamron 18-270mm while keeping the 50mm prime lens for low-light indoor still photos.
Yes, the Canon DSLRs are made primarily for taking still photos, but it does have the capability of shooting HD quality videos too..Just trying to make use of it.
Could you please advise me which one of the below lenses is better for me ..especially for capturing home videos of kids and sharp still photos.
Canon 18-200
Tamaron 18-270 VC (non PZD) &
Tamron 18-270 PZD
Thank you in advance for your time.
Don't know about the Canon but I use the Sony 18-250 for shooting photos (no video). I like it becuse it is less intrusive. You can stay back from the crowd and still get some great shots and still shoot some close-ups from posed shots. Also great for wildlife.
Good Luck and welcome from another newbie.
I have the Canon T2i and shoot with the Sigma 18-250. just my 2 cents.
