This a Salamder my son found. Had to grab my macro & see what I could "see"
Artsy Image
Attitude after my dog started sniffing him
Head flared up with more "attitude"
My Dog, Vina's nose at the top & my ring.. too show his size.
Macro crop of image #3
Nice series of close-ups. I have added an image cropped to macro proportions, of your photo #3. To capture a true macro in camera, you need to be closer to subject.
What macro lens do you own? On which camera? If it is in the 100-mm range, to capture a true macro, your Working Distance (lens front element to subject) will be about 6-inches.

A couple more.. Closer to Macro. I was just trying to show the whole body in the previous ones. Thanks for your input!!

Thank you !! It means a lot coming for you!
Nice find of a " Slimy Salamander"...There are a number of different sub species of this salamander...I found one & snapped off some shots about 3 years ago. I'm assuming you found it under a leaf pile?
That is very cool - love the difference with "attitude", probably more like scared to death. Great shots.
