Propaganda in the WEST (BBC)

This is a picture used by the the BBC to illustrate an article on internet in North Korea.

http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/64446000/jpg/_64446127_142604007.jpg

It shows a man with a 'rat' face with beady black eyes. The message here is not subtle and meant to create aversion.

It raises the conclusion that all NKA officials are evil. Looking closer you can see that men in uniform are the worse! Then add the sinister under exposed adjustment, the pen writing on a paper...

You have the picture of shadowy spy or snitch taking notes on something for purposes to be assumed nefarious. Everything here is negative.

Do I see too much on this picture? I think not, plain, pure propaganda of the type used during the cold war.

First demonize the enemy through representation CHECK!!!

Seems that the BBC has nothing to learn when it comes to their reporting... In the article? Nothing particular that jumps out, the visual clues are enough. Read it by yourself.

Imagine the BBC trying to depict North Korea as evil! Don't they realize that North Korea is a friendly booming nation taking great pains to liberate and feed the population and to promote good will toward all nations?

Perhaps North Korea will learn from this photo and make sure the BBC is supplied with images of sexy North Korean women in short skirts on the Internet. This could help their public relations immensely. Placing Santa caps on their missiles during military parades might help right now also. 8-)

Once again short sightedness and hatred from the UHH members. Do you really think we need to hate the North Korean as people? Are they not suffering enough under they authoritarian gvt? Are they not dying of starvation?

Do we need the media to show us images that promote a stereotype? Is not this that was done to the Jews prior to WWII Were they not represented the same way?

Do you not see the disturbing trend?

This is obviously an important issue to you so you should definitely do something about it in a way that will make a difference.

What irritates me is that you answer the same way many did during the nazi era and it's propaganda: Indifference.

"All propaganda has to be popular and has to adapt its spiritual level to the perception of the least intelligent of those towards whom it intends to direct itself."
-Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf ("My Struggle"), Vol. I

Guess the fucker was right about something since you seem to swallow the damned image w/o a second thought. 50 millions dead were not enough when you a whiff of deceptive propaganda going on.

I have no beef with NKA folks, just with their regime. Stereotype like this tries to transform it into hatred toward a whole country population. Recently the US did the same thing toward Iraq but you seems to have forgotten that too, after all the US 'REGIME' had changed is WMD tune to 'SAVE THE PEOPLE'...

I offered my support... so... a Very Merry Christmas to you.

Lighten up English_Wolf, the guy in the picture is a Party Member who loves his "Soicalist" country. He loves his job, he loves his leader. He takes pride in what he is doing. If given the chance he would love to cut your throat.

I wonder how the North Korean government's media depicts us, or England. 8-)
