Acting & modelling, I'm in the process of sorting out some urban dance shots, she is on points so going for the Albert dock for some good backdrops and some alleyway shots.

She is a bubbly young lady, a friend of the family so took the opportunity to gain some experience with my new camera and lens D600 & Sigma F2.8 70-200mm (couldn't afford the Nikkor equivelant

Overall, pretty decent except for the last one which is kind of static - she appears square to the camera and that is seldom going to be flattering to a woman and it is awfully busy for a portfolio shot.

She is square to the camera in #4 too, but the tilt caused by leaning from the fence mitigates that and makes a better image.

I like one the best. It's well composed and posed.

Picture two is pretty dark under her chin. Not a big fan of the the positions of the legs. bending is good as long as it looks natural. The leg thing is more of an opinion than a right or wrong thing.

Picture 3 is ok for a peeking around the corner type of candid. I wouldn't put this in a portfolio.

Four I would have liked to see her arm bent holding the fence with her next to the fence. Head tilted away from the fence. You could use the fence as a lead in if your depth of field was shallower.

Five I agree with the captain. Too busy.

You might want to produce some non posed looking shots next time. i.e. Not looking at the camera.

Thanks Russ
Really appreciate the positive criticism that I can work on.

It is her first time in front of a camera and my first time directing so I will take the criticism to improve my direction.

I would say she was absolutely brilliant in just an hour we got quite a few shots that I can work with...

  Thanks again

One other note Jobox,

Loose the busy blouse in in 2 4 and 5.
In two,its just the pattern
In 4 and 5 it's the busy colors and the hat as well. A dark hat would emphasize the face more. I usually like more flat and darker colors for this type of shot. You can use comtrasty colors like a leather jackets. Bright neonish colors can cause problems. Not all the time , but here it won't work.

Happy shooting

Great job, I like them, especially the first and third. She's a pretty young girl and you've captured her energy well. I like the shots you've added in your later comments too especially the naughty look with the No Entry sign.

Thanks Andrew... Love the quirky shot, that was her playing around so quickly snapped the shot no direction just spontaneous...Cracking kid who definitely knows how to play to a camera which makes my end of the camera more fun as you don't know what shes going to do next...
