When preparing photos for a show, is it appropriate to date your signature on the mat? I got in the habit of penciling in a small "'12" after my signature but then what about the photo from 2010 that I printed yesterday for this weekend's show?
Do the pros date?

An artist does what an artist does.
Be the artist you were meant to be!
I Don't Like To Date Things I Find It Limiting. You Can Introduce Things As New From 30 Years Ago. Landscapes Etc
I do not date images that are framed for a show. As others have stated, it is limiting; however, many contest shows require that the entered images must have been taken within a specified period of time. In this case, you may have to make up your own mind on how to deal with such a requirement.
My wife says she is the only one I can date now.

Have you broke the news to your girlfriend?
Dating your photos is OK but having intercourse with them is another matter!
