my favorite poem of all ( Sergeant Joyce Kilmer )
I think I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth sweet flowing breast
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who imtmately lives with rain
Poems are made by fools like me
But only God can make a tree.
I say we all see if we can take a photograph that captures the spirit of the poem.
That was my Mom's absolute all time favorite poem - we lost her about 7 yrs ago. Thanks for sharing that and bringing back a very fond memory...miss you Mom!
I'm glad I could bring some fonf memory back to you
