Hello all! A friend recommended this site and in a short period of time I've learned so much. I currently use a kodak easyshare zd15. Nothing special I know but darn - it takes pretty decent pics. I am about to order a Canon Rebel T31 with a 18-135 mm lens. I'm excited about it and hope it will take better pics than my little point and shoot. I need to order a lens filter and am clueless although I have read that a good brand is the Hoya as well as B+W. Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Here are a few dog pics I've taken recently of a show dog belonging to my friend with my P&S. I'm hoping the new camera gives me those nice blurry backgrounds I am seeking. ;-) Thanks for a great site. Jeanne
Beautiful shots....can't wait to see some from the new camera
Beautiful great color and focus! Looking forward to seeing the new camera shots if you can do this with a point and shoot just think of what's to come.
Thank you very much! I'm a little nervous about buying the new camera - I feel I get pretty good shots with the little camera I currently use but I would have to think that a dslr will give me more of what I want. Thanks again!

Thank you David! It came yesterday! I'm very excited - it looks great - now to study the manual a bit and make the time to try it out. I also ordered the "dummy" book. Hopefully I'll be sharing my first pics soon! Can't wait!! :-)
