High Key portrait Black and White

My favorite subject to photograph is people so I am always looking for different ways to capture how interesting people are. I am open to suggestions.

Don, i think thats the key ( no pun intended ) to high key shots, its also known as shooting to the right meaning pushing the histogram waaaaaaay over to the right, it seems to be the fashion these days. T. V. ads have gone that way too.

Yes, I agree. The stray hairs and sleeve off to the right are messy.
I put it on my Facebook page and the view automatically crops it much tighter and I like it better. Thanks for the suggestion.

Didn't like it at 1st but it kind of grows on you. The longer I looked at it the more I came to like it. My 1st impression was that the left side was blown out but the longer I looked I came to see that you walked a thin line and the features are there if you just study it for a bit. Nice but different and I guess that's what we strive for. Also big difference looking at it on my calibrated monitor versus laptop where it looks blown out.........
