The imagery is tac sharp.

Love it! I have a collection of filters my MIL passed down plus her old canon as well, not as old as this one but still pretty sweet to play with.

Hi Milocat... I have two of those, and shot them for 40+ years... They were a great film camera. I have a 50mm 1.2 lens on the one I shot the most too. I was reading some posts about adapter rings to use on the old FL lenes on the Canon EOS digital. Some say they work great, orthers not so. Still trying to figure out who is right. If you ever want to shoot some film I'd use them in a heartbeat....

If film wasn't so expensive I would take up his camera in a second. We lived in Kuala Lumpur in the late sixties. I got the impression that my Dad was finding good prices on camera equipment there because he had not been a photographer in the States. He took reams of slides, only a small portion of which have been converted to digital.

I have Canon FTb packed away somewhere. Rewind lever is froze up on it but was a pretty decent camera.
Went from there to an F1 mechanical, then an AE1, then A1, then F1 auto, and so on.

There's a throwback. My first SLR was a Canon FTQL. I believe that's what you have posted. I bought it in Misawa, Japan for $100. It was a great little camera. That was in 1970.

The lenses from that old Minolta may well fit the new Sony Alpha line of cameras.

I still shoot a lot of film with my Ftb. My son worked for Kodak so I have an almost unending supply. If you need some film I have 800 Max at $1 per roll and a little Ultra Color 400 UC at $1.25 per roll and a case of Portra 160 on the way to me at $1.75 per roll. Shipping is $6.05 for up to 20 rolls Priority Mail.
