Just got the the Scot Kelby LR3 book and it looks great. Went to the page where he says to go to to download his photos to work with and can't find any way to download them even though the page says that that it is the page to download them from. Maybe I am blind or stupid, but I can't find where on that page to click to download them. Can anyone help me?
I just put Scot Kelby in my browser which took me to his website. Find the photo you want, right click on it, "save as" and indicate what file or folder you want to put it in.
Before starting to download photos, I would create a new folder somewhere called "Scot Kelby", or whatever you want, to put them in.

I have that book, I will have to take a look and see what I did, if I recall the directions weren't clearly printed in the front. I think it was to help make sure people weren't right clicking and stealing his images.
It's a download of high res files.
I do not mean to be to elementary but the term used are import and export. When you say "download" I think you are asking how to get pictures out of Lightroom. From the DEVELOP tab I use the FILE dropdown menu. I first select the pictures I want to export then Select FILE, EXPORT.
I don't have Kelby's book or Lightroom, but the test photo I downloaded does not have any signature or copyright on it. I have no interest in other people's work beyond inspiration...Kelby does do great work, I never heard of him before today, looks to be worth studying!
Does he have a special section of photos set up for practice work?

Download, Upload, Import, Export...does it really matter what term one uses...the computer fairy seems to have a pretty good idea of what you are trying to accomplish, LOL!
And everyone knows what you are talking about, anyway.
Yes, he has a special section for photos to work with, (or, of course you can use your own, which I ended up dong). Not finding them in the area he said in the book was what prompted my inquiry. Thanks for the reply
