These are a few of the images from Sundays photographic trip to Boggle Hole, on the East Yorkshire coast near Robin Hoods Bay.
Really nice shots! Love the fourth one, but they're all good. Great work!
Curious tho, why Robin Hood's Bay? Thought legend had him hanging around Sberwood Forest and Nottingham? How did he managed to get a bay named for him?

Robin Hood was a well known weekend beach party person. It was at one of the party's that he made Marion! It's also where they discovered that Little John was very aptly named!
Fabulous set of photographs, I cannot believe the tonal range in the first image. Well done
Moved home today and now am knackered (the ever growing English UGLY contingent will know what I mean)

Incidently, if you ever saw the most recent Robin Hood movie, they opening sequence showed the merry men (they had been partying in French wine country) landing in the dark by boat under some giant chalk cliffs. Those cliffs are almost 600 feet high and there are seven hills and six vallies. The area is called "Seven Sisters" as it looks like seven sets of boobs from the English Channel. Quite what they were supposed to be doing there always baffled me since it is maybe 300 miles from Sherwood.

This is an extract I found on Google.
Robin Hoods Bay, Yorkshire
Robin Hoods Bay from the seashore. One story tells how Robin Hood disguised himself as a fisherman here, to avoid capture. Another story claims that Robin Hood fired an arrow here from Whitby Abbey 5 miles away, which gave the bay its name. There are also countless tales of smuggling here in Robin Hoods Bay.
The arrow story is a long shot - excuse the pun. lol
