Hi
When taking close-ups of flowers etc in macro mode I'm always concerned about the depth of field. You want the back ground to be out of focus but you want the subject sharp. Considering movement from the wind etc is there an ideal depth of field and shutter speed?
Thank you
Steve

especially the first one is spectacular!
#3's background kinda hurts my eyes; the out-of-focus is not quite right.

Don't ask silly questions when you can produce such wonders as these haha. You need to be telling some of us how to do close up work and lighting. They are super photographs.

I took these on a mono pod. The frost was just starting to melt leaving droplets on the thin stems . The time of day was about 9.30 - 10 am and the sun was in front of me back lighting the subject. Looking at the photos again I realized that I should have bracketed the exposures using all the F stops. I have now purchased a tripod so the quality will be better. What would make this a good shot would be colour in the droplets like a prism.
Thank you for your comments I'm glad you liked them
