Portfolio construction

Hello,

I need to create a series of portfolios that can be accessed across a wide range of media. There are some great iPad apps out there that you can use to show your portfolio through this medium but I was after something I can use on my iMac and my iPad to create/view interactive and branded portfolios that can be exported and emailed around without losing the visual effect. Apps like "folio book" look fantastic but I am not sure they enable me to export the portfolio to send to people.

If anyone knows of anything that would be of use, your help would be much appreciated.

Regards

You could use PowerPoint as most people have it and if not there is a free PP viewer. Would something like a PDF work for you?

I have thought about this, but I am not a fan of PowerPoint at all. It's probably something to do with being in the military and being bored to absolute death by thousands of slides over the years. :) I was after something that oozed professionalism and looked fantastic. Something smooth and easy to use. There are some great iPad apps out there, but they seem to be solely for iPad viewing, you cannot export them.

When you say smooth and easy to use, what features are you looking for? I was in the military too and can understand your issue, but you can embed music and change how the slides are displayed. A far cry from the standard click and poof a new slide is shown.

Hello, br br I need to create a series of portfol... (show quote)

Keynote works on iPad as well as your Mac -- it has nice transitions and you can do it right by not making the slides like the PP stuff. Add music; save as a iMovie or other vid format and you are set for cross platform sharing. This would not be as static as a PP.

I was looking for something like folio book really Dave. But offered an export option.

Thanks 2MATO. I haven't looked at keynote at all... I will see what it has to offer.

You might also consider mixing media within your portfolio then blending it into a Quicktime presentation. Have you ever used Animoto? Mixing it up with a variety of media demos some savvy if you remember to not overdo it. Subtle and Stunning are the by-words.
