This is for Annmarie in storm ravaged New Jersey, hope things are getting better for you and your family. In my post for Waterfront Farm" you commented on a piece of mine "Drifting", this is based on Drifting obviously renamed to "Dancer". Hope you enjoy this one as well.

quite powerful but (you knew there would be one) the reflected horizontal "vee" branch just left of the figure has no purpose?
And the dark twiggy thing to the left of that does nothing?
If you want to emulate Japanese silk screen art, the subjects are;
swan (too close to the shadow figure)
figure (too obviously 'stuck on' to the scene, not sinking in the water, shadow unreal)
trees and reflections sublime, no problem.

Rework this and you have a gold star on your hands, strip off all that does not count

Easy to be a critic, hard to "do" !!!!

Appreciate your critique, admittedly the dancer and shadow is a paste on, the V branch was intended to give pause to the colors and to give the apperance of size to the swan. This took me about 6 months to complete, the idea came from a publication I found on a JAL flight in the past.
Again, Thanks for your observance.

Absolutely Phenomenal photograph. I would have been so proud if I had captured that delightful scene. Well done.

All I can say is WOW!!!! This is some really beautiful work. Tearing the picture apart piece by piece don't do the trick. But looking it as a whole does. I think everything meshes perfectly. The swan's reflection, the girl's reflection - a lot of talent went into making this and I think you did outstanding work.
