There was an exhibit of Irving Penn at the deYoung.
I started to take pictures of the work, but I gave up, and took some of the people looking at the photos.
I don't know if these are worth posting. Comments?

I think so, yes. These might fit into the portrait category. I find them interesting and well-done--nice work.

Nice set of images, Tom. I like the peek over the shoulder approach and use it myself. Normally I do it when people are creating the art, but looking and doing are pretty much the same in this case. Feel like a bit of a voyeur at times. Also like the subdued lighting, it complements the "museum feel" and focuses the attention on the pictures themselves.
