Mississippi at Portage Des Sioux

Ysarex Loc: St. Louis

One of the earliest French settlements in the Mississippi valley, Portage Des Sioux has no levee protection and when the river floods Portage Des Sioux floods. In response to one of the bigger past flood events the town put up a statue to Mary right on the river front. Now when the river floods the statue floods, but hopefully Mary is watching out for them. The second photo is I believe a failed restaurant. Fuji X-T4 w/16-55mm

REALLY nice and crisp in download... I like the line of the dike extending from rear of statue into background. Wish I could play with some Fuji gear but I have too much on my plate now... I can relate to this set as I grew up in St. Louis.

I bought my first Fuji because of their lenses -- specifically the 14mm f/2.8. The X-T2 is my favorite camera. It's everything I need/want in a camera.

The second one is my favorite - outstanding image, IMO.
