April 20th the bird that has been my worse nightmare to try and capture up until this year when starting on January 1st I got a good photo and then yesterday I pulled up to this trail and this Pilliated Woodpecker was on this tree feeding and allowed me to share 15 minutes of it's time. After this I simply walked on down the trail and it continued to feed away. First photo I edited of the set taken on my Nikon d300 and Sigma 100-400mm. I mean when I was able to get a 30 second video of this bird on my cell phone the bird really was not worried about me being there in the least.

Thank you, I have been waiting 8 years for the opportunity I truly figured as soon as I opened my car door it would be gone but it just could not have cared less
