Japanese, Only

This is odd. I was looking at camcorders on eBay - just browsing. There are quite a few from Japan. One said the language was Japanese. I thought that was odd, so I asked about it. Yes, Japanese, only. It cannot be changed. Usually, cameras let you change the language during setup. I recently had a problem with an iPod. Doing reset, it got stuck on Japanese, and it took quite a while to get back to the setup menu.

is it a good enough deal to learn Japanese?

When was the last time you bought a product and received "English" only documents?

Here I thought we all should be learning Spanish -- maybe we should be learning Japanese instead!
