Looking to post some RAW photos for discussion and wondering what is the largest file size I can upload to UHH. Each RAW file unedited is 25-35MP? Or will saving them as compressed jpegs devalue the comparison as they will have been edited? Cheers JohnR
The posted limit is 20MB. Various experiments say the limit is closer to 21MB. This limit effectively prevents all but the oldest cameras from posting RAW to the site.
Unless you're asking for editing help against the RAW, no one wants to see unedited RAW files. That's your job to edit and convert to a JPEG format in the sRGB colorspace.

Work around: set up 4 to 6 RAW images on screen, take a screenshot, and post same. Although as CHG_CANON (wonder what brand he pushes) says, who cares.
Dropbox is a good option for the larger files. But even if you could put them on UHH, they aren't viewable. They'd have to be downloaded to a person's computer and that person would need software to open. Then you're dealing with seeing different results from various software.
What are you wishing to discuss? Just curious

One file per screenshot; fill the screen with each.
Screen shots? What a miserable idea ....

What to do, what to do...
John, This has nothing to do with your question, but I have to say that I watched a very interesting piece about a group in Tasmania on the search for the Thylacine, or Tasmanian Wolf, thought to be extinct. If it is found, I'll be waiting for your images on UHH. Thanks.

Another alternative is for the OP to import them into an editor that can convert the raw files and then export them as tiffs or DNGs but downsizing them to 2300 pixels on the longest edge. The resolution won't be the same as the raw file but everything else will be preserved, such as colour depth and bit depth. Editing the exported tiff or DNG files will be the same as editing the raw files except for the difference in resolution.

But why are we still using sRGB, when there is so much better out there? It came out over 2 decades ago.

The sRGB colorspace is for sharing JPEG image files online. It is the
output colorspace of the image. When editing the RAW, and all transition formats, if applicable, the ProPhotoRGB colorspace should be used. The relative 'age' of a colorspace has nothing to do with when / why / where to use the sRGB colorspace.
I understand, but it’s not as good as any of the others, and our screens can see much greater gamut. I’m not sure about printers though.

I don’t know of any printers that can replicate the rgb color space…. At least, not any I could afford.
