I have PowerShot G3X Canon camera. Is there a way to take double exposure photos with this camera?

Digital cameras don't work that way. Take the digital images and merge in software like PSE on your computer. Assuming 'double exposure' in the sense of exposing the same frame of film twice.

The camera does support AEB - Auto Exposure Bracketing - something you can use as input to a merged HDR image, using computer software. The HDR function doesn't appear in the User Manual for this model.

If you text search the EOS R5 Advanced User Manual for 'Multiple exposure', you'll find the menu settings to enable the function linked from Jerry's post. That same text search against the PowerShot G3X User Manual shows that function is unknown (missing) within this camera model.

Oh yes, many cameras do have that feature!

My Olympus E-M1 Mark ii does, and can be used with raw. One example is here: https://flic.kr/p/2pGmNTf

To the OP: I cannot find the feature in the manual for your camera. There are a bunch of other fun filters and effects, though See the link below.

The brilliant writers of the G3X manual failed to list "HDR" in the table of contents, nor in the manual's index, hence my text-search failure ....

Sure, blame the writers.

On Nikon, double exposures are easy in RAW. In fact, there is a page on two in the manual covering how to do it. Easy as can be, and it's on a DIGITAL camera. Below is an example. Moon was added easily with the Nikon system.

I own the G3x and I can assure it doesn’t support multiple exposures. I would suggest processing software and use of masking, perhaps. I’m also wondering if the old Microsoft Image Composite Editor might work. I think it’s still available….

Beautiful photo. Image overlay is the feature offered by Nikon and it is available when you want to combine two existing NEF (RAW) photographs to create a single picture. I used more than once with good results and effects

It's an awesome image Bill, regardless of how you did it.

Only professional digital cameras like my Canon 5D has options for up to 9 images overlapping in the same frame. NONE of the cameras for amateurs have a function like that.
