These cranes come to this area every spring to have their chicks , then they leave when the chicks are old enough. Does anyone know their name?

Looks to me like herons. Can't tell which type though...Blue, Green?

Cranes, they are not, they are great blue herons. These birds often nest in groups for security.

Fred and Ethel maybe, George and Gracie, Ozzie and Harriet? Not too sure as they are pretty far away to be positive.
I would have thought Great Blue Herons instead of Cranes.
