Last week I went to Farmington Bay Wildfowl Management Area to see what had migrated into the area. I wanted to get there in time for the golden hour, but I tried the new parkway in that area and found that there were no exits where I wanted to go, so I lost 30 minutes of good light. Still, the weather was good.
Access to the main wildfowl area is closed to allow mating and raising the youngsters undisturbed. Fortunately, I had access to the approach area which provides good landscape views.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Wow, what a beautiful set. I love the contrast of the colors. That gate is really impressive. Thanks for sharing your trip!
Nice views Mike! Like that gate also!
That's an expansive area and you do a great job of imparting that feeling. What's the purpose of having those large rocks aligned in a straight line, as seen in the last image?
Beautiful, Mike. I love how the morning light highlighted the foreground.
That's a lovely location. I really like the one with the huge boulders.
Excellent series of the bay surroundings.
Beautiful landscape photography Mike.
Excellent landscapes as always, Mike.
