Trying to get beyond 600mm - still with adapted lenses....on the A9
This with Tamron 150-600 G2 A-mount (there is NO VC on the A-mount version), Kenko 1.4X Pro 300 DG A-mount, (840mm f9) Sony LA-EA5 adapter - ISO 800 from tripod - challenging direct mid-day light under tree ......This is full frame !
The Tamron's focusing actually works quite well tru the adapter and extender ! The IQ actually better than I expected 8-)
Normally I would just use 1.4X CIZ to get to 840mm with no light loss but in order to do that on the A9 and have continuous AF you have to be using the mechanical shutter and get just 5 FPS ! ! C-AF with the electronic shutter locks out the CIZ ! This is very different from my A99 and the RX10m4 ! I get 6 FPS with the A99 and 24 FPS with the RX10 using CIZ.
Looks great to me, Larry.
Interesting. CIZ I miss on my Oly M1 because 2x tele built in is not as refined (IMHO)
Very nice, detail, Larry.
