I decided to go big or go home

Feedback welcomed!

See titles for details. These are hops fields, with a few orchards in some backgrounds.

Many thanks.

I learned that they leave the old knots in place (from autumn harvest), and just string new twine up beside them.

Thanks so much, Dodie! That purple field intrigued me. Wish I could have parked and walked closer, but that's almost never an option in these agricultural areas.

My camera's "auto" white balance was challenged by the field of purple with yellow-reddish poles. I shoot in raw and set my WB in an editor anyway, but was weird to see what was showing up in the viewfinder.

As usual, all good, Linda, but #1 does it for me. I love your use of the light.

You know, I think I smelled hops when I was out there; someone had asked last time I posted shots, and I had only remembered harvest time.

Thanks much!

I like the first two, the first for the color and silhouette. The second for the tractor, working the field.

Beautiful images Linda. I really like the first one with the pattern of repetition and the warm colors.

This is a great set of photos, Linda, and the first is my favorite. Do you know what the guy on the tractor is doing (other than driving it, of course )?
