The longhorn breed, long a symbol of Texas. Here are a few I found on the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails yesterday.

A pair in the bluebonnets near a pond. Lots of people around photographing these. Maybe 40 or so. Didn't disturb them a bit.

Longhorns start to get their horns early. Look closely at the calf.

Seems they like to lay around a lot, but I guess in a small pen there's not much to do.

This longhorn cow must have had an itch. She used her horn to scratch the inside of her hind leg.
