The Country Music Awards... Was that Country?
I used to listen to Country music more than I do now. My music range is basically what I was fed by AM/FM radio 50's - 90's.

I have a large collection of old country music up to about the end of Johnny Cash's career. After that a lot of it sounds like Broadway show/pop with guitars, fiddles, boots and cowboy hats. Every so often, someone who sounds real "Country" comes along.
