Thanks, Tim, there were tussles and other movement, but the action blur did not result in very good photos. I should have shot in the burst setting.

I am learning the pre-release and burst modes. Not impressed so far.

It does look like they smile, even the waders like heron & egrets after swallowing a snack. Nice photos. Like the backlight coming thru the bills.
