The Japanese pictures are interesting. After that, there seems to be an infinite number of funny photos.

Jerry, That was great. We lived in Japan for almost seven years in two different periods and still look back with pleasure at all our time there. A fascinating and enjoyable place. Thanks for sharing.

Scotty

When I visited Japan I was very impressed, They don't clean much but they keep it clean. They use a lot a water rather than towels.

I don't see how the toilet/sink saves water. You are still using water to wash your hands. Having it go into the toilet tank doesn't save anything. What they are really saving is the cost and installation of a sink.

I don't know that was real but I think the idea was when you wash your hand the water goes down to the tank and is saved to flush the toilet later.

Right, so where's the savings? Water is being taken from the central supply, and then it goes into the tank to be flushed away later. Instead of flushing 1.5 gallons, it will flush 1.6 gallons. It is a good idea to save space and avoid the need for a sink and all its plumbing, though.

No the tank would have no water to start. All the water it uses for flushing coming from the sink above. No washing hands no flushing.

That's kinda bad for the next person to use it.

That is why I don't think it's real. The Japanese are not dumb.

Of course, the best system would be a toilet tank without a top. You simply stick your hands into the tank to wash them. 🤣

I'd bet the ranch that I'll never get to Japan, so that was one terrific opportunity to see some really interesting aspects of it!
