Partial eclipse

No travel needed! Just set up on the front porch under shady cover and take the shots. Of course, for us in Reno, NV we didn't get a total eclipse but the partial was quite spectacular due to the sunspots, especially AR3628 which remained visible through all the steps of the moon transiting the sun. While two cameras were used, the best images came from an old battered FujiPix HS50 EXR.

Thank you, Bruce. Not bad for an old bridge camera.

Ya damn right sir,
I used my bridge Panasonic Lumix FZ300 and got some really good ones too. I your case it is the human using the camera. Nicely done. I may post some of mine later one but for now there is enough to keep everyone busy.
Here is a shot of my bridge camera with the home made solar filter.

the filter had not been fully pushed on, I had to pull it out some to retrack the lens.

Wow, that's quite a set up, Bruce. Can't beat gaffers tape for filling in the gaps, ha ha. Looking forward to seeing your images when processed and oh, I'm a she, not a he.

Oooops ! dear lady, so sorry, my psychic abilities have diminished over time. Ok, I will be glad to post some for you.
I run them through Light-room but most are just fine as they are.
I will get some out later today or so after running around.
Thank you for the reply.

No apologies necessary, Bruce! No offense taken. Just gave me a giggle. Looking forward to your post.
