Yeah, so what. In 1900 we produced 90% of what we consumed but in this global economy Ike’s tax rate would chase all the big corporations off shore.

Such l*****t BS, Reagan did not destroy the American Dream he gave it a new life following Jimmy "Malaise" Carter's destruction of it. Lowering taxes does not destroy income nor does it inhibit economic growth, take an economics course. Investment in capital and labor is determined by the return such an investment will realize, not by the penal tax codes that rob a business of productivity.
I seriously doubt that Eisenhower ever muttered those words, probably just another l*****t lie attributing a quote to him that he never made.
