THIS is pretty interesting. Even if you're Not a Bible scholar - but a little knowledge would help.
The First major US eclipse happened in 2017. Now 7 years later (7 is a significant number) we have another one.
Taken together the eclipses cross over what could be a significant location.
AND - 40 days later (yeah - 40 is also a significant number) is Pentacost. OK - 41 days. Close enough.
Ever since the Star of Bethlehem (and before and after) signs have been in the sky.
Here's hoping He will call his church home sooner rather than later.

You do know that these eclipse dates have been known for decades.

That's Fine. Many things are known, but their significance comes only in retrospect.
? Decades ? Washington knew of the eclipse of 1778 !
If you have 30 minutes - watch his presentation. It might lead to a change in your eternity.

I am so tired of hearing about the eclipse that I am going to throw a party the day after

And the next one will be 40 mikes from somewhere.
(33, 11, 7, and 3 miles also.)

(I predict that for 40 days we'll see eclipse pictures.)

What do you consider a โ€˜majorโ€™ eclipse? Perhaps you are referring to total eclipses?

I just watched it. Never heard of this guy but it is interesting and A LOT of stuff is all over the place about this event.
And like with anything of not everyday events, all the prophets and "prophets-for-profit" pop up and the ones that have been around a while jump in.

Believer or not, this is very interesting indeed.

I live outside of Dallas and Ft. Worth, closer to Dallas so I am right in the path of totality.
Oooooooh boy, lots of people coming in here for this but the weather probably will not be a clear sky day like it has been.
Clouds expecting to increase but I do hope we get enough clarity to get some good pictures.

Thanks for sharing this.
Bruce.

We have heard all this before, for example when there was a line-up of the planets.
Nothing happened then, and nothing will happen now.

Buddy you got that right, as always they come out don't they.
But if a true believer in the living God in heaven does not bother with this mess nor is concerned.
But others just look at it and hopefully enjoy the event.

Right now, we will have a clear day, alas, we are nowhere near the path of totality. At least we might have a view. I'm not planning to bring out a camera because the sun will be too bright. I'm just going to peek at the sun with my solar glasses (from B&H) and enjoy the show.

Caveat: We have not had a clear sky during a celestial event in years. I am not putting any money on there being a clear sky tomorrow.

Or the first could be the one in 1918, which also crossed the contiguous 48 states: list here from 1900 on. But Iโ€™m confident that there were others in previous centuries. There will be another in 2045.

I remember the total eclipse of June 30, 1954. I was just a kid & my folks dragged me out of bed to watch it as it crossed over our farm in southwestern Minnesota. So, I rather doubt that 2017 was the first major US eclipse.
