Some people are like that. I can pick out a tune on almost anything, but I'm not a real player - of anything. I have ukulele, guitar, banjo, piano, electronic keyboard, harmonica, and tin whistle. I wish I could play any of them successfully. I keep wishing, but I'm not improving! 😳
I suggested to my friend who wanted a theremin that she might like a cheaper musical saw. "Cheaper" means $150 and up. That's not very cheap for a piece of metal with a wooden handle.
"I'm not improving": the same words I say about my photography. I don't give up but I feel I am just spinning my wheels. I did far better as a 10 year old with a film camera and a dark room!
The only instrument I brought with me when I moved to Alabama is my Yamaha organ. It's sort of old now and at my age, I won't replace it when it dies.
Of course I have my paints and brushes so I still stay way too busy.
I am thankful for whatever I can do because good or not, I still enjoy it.
