These aren't squirrels!

Admittedly, I am a bit frustrated with a part of my photography. While wildlife photography, and now my work with the squirrels, will always be my passion, I want to continue to regain some of the things I once was halfway decent at, and one of them was flowers. Unfortunately, the current lens (Sigma 150-600mm) isn't exactly the best lens to do that. I have tried photographing some flowers, but I am never really satisfied with any. Plus, lately, I seem to have nothing but windy days! Sadly, all my other lenses won't keep up with the new camera. Currently trying to decide on my next lens with a tight budget!

The first image is from my camera and not my best, but it's a start. The rest are from my recently purchased iPhone. Yes, I know there is a smartphone section, but I didn't want to post it there as my first image was taken with my camera. I can do the basics with this phone, but it has a lot of capabilities that I have yet to learn, as the photos will show! While in the grocery store, I decided to try a few shots in their floral area. No wind to battle there! Beautiful flowers, but crummy light, plus I had to do them quickly. So keep this in mind if you would, as you look! They are far from perfect, but I needed to try, to explore.

Once I finally get another editing program besides Topaz, I'd like to experiment with flower shots.

So, I thought I would share. Open to suggestions and constructive feedback

Something different for me!

As always I hope you enjoy!

Sure love those mesmerizingly beautiful closeups 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
Wet, muddy everywhere, and chilling here. Crocus, daffodills, and a couple of others. Rare appearances of the sun, but not too conducive to rushing outdoors to try to get shots...

Very nice.
You got great shots of the squirrels. They were test subjects in a military camouflage experiment. It worked great but the military dropped the program because it doesn't work on anything over 2 lbs.

Thanks for the kind words as always. I lucked out, our weather was in the upper 50's and not too bad to be out. Got some really neat shots!
