The first one is a Broad-winged Hawk but this one is what they class as a dark morph. the Second one is a female Harrier and the third is an American Kestrel. When we small group of wildlife photographers go out, we're not immune to creatures other than birds. If they cross our paths we're more than willing to take pictures of them such as this mink and fox.
I should also clarify that the Kestrel is not a hawk. It's a Falcon. Hope you like them.

Thank you. I never answer that question since it doesn't do any good. And not through arrogance I hope. If you have a question on a particular piece of gear I'm more than willing to answer the question. In the mean time I'll add it's all Canon gear and I never use a tripod since I travel too much through thick bush. All shots are handheld.

Thanks for the info. I was just curious as I'd liked to get a long lens for my Nikon D70 and hope to eventually get the Nikon D7000. But I had an opportunity to look at the Sigma 150-500mm lens with OS and found it way to heavy for me. So I will probably go with a 400mm lens and even with the cropping factor on the smaller sensors I am afraid I wont get close enough for birds. So I was just curious to the focal length you used not necessary a particular brand. But again thank for the info and they are excellent images and a joy to look at.
