This part completes our tour of Florence. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to go into the Basilica di Santa Croce (first photo) on this visit. The Basilica was a very short walk from the restaurant where we had lunch (previous post). We were going to visit it last year, but got caught in a major downpour on our walk to it and got there just as it was closing. Maybe this or next year. They took a slight detour on the way back to the ship in Livorno so we could see Florence from above, photos 4 and 5.

My previous post can be found at https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-803348-1.html, while the first post of this series (that includes a map of all of the places where we stopped) can be found at https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-801137-1.html

Next up: A quick visit to Rome

The library aboard ship looks so inviting. You showed it off nicely. Another enjoyable tour.

Thank you Laura. The Viking ships are very relaxing and uncrowded. They don't allow anyone under 18 on the ships and cater to an older and more inquisitive crowd than most cruise lines.
