Starting 2021, the FDA mounted a campaign against ivermectin – an inexpensive, Nobel Prize-winning medication that showed promising signs in the early treatment of C****-**.

While the death toll from this campaign is difficult to calculate, the impact was far-reaching. The campaign was used as fuel to terminate employment of doctors who understood the science behind ivermectin, as well as justification for pharmacies to cease filling ivermectin prescriptions when people needed the medication most.

Courageous doctors fought back.

In 2022, doctors filed a federal lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) over the agencies’ unlawful attempts to block the use of ivermectin for treatment of C****-**.

“We’re suing the FDA for lying to the public about ivermectin,” said Dr. Bowden, a plaintiff in the case.

The complaint directly cites US laws, including the provision that the FDA “may not interfere with the authority of a health care provider to prescribe or administer any legally marked device to a patient for any condition or disease within a legitimate health care practitioner-patient relationship.”

On Thursday last week, the court ruled against the FDA and mandated the removal of all previous social media posts that specifically addressed the use of ivermectin for the treatment or prevention of C****-**. The posts have started to come down, including a popular one titled: “Should I take ivermectin to prevent or treat C****-**? No.”

It has nothing to do with naysayers and the effectiveness of ivermectin and C***d. It was resolved because C***d is no longer the concern it was at the time of the social media campaign. FDA and science still do not recommend ivermectin for humans.

It will be interesting to see how the case against Bowden is settled.

It will be interesting...the "powers that be" so vehemently went after physicians who didn't fall in line with their narrative.

What do you mean that the FDA and science do not recommend ivermectin for humans? People entering the U.S. from some portions of Africa are required to take Ivermectin before entering the country. Millions of people have been prescribed Ivermectin.

Ok. That's different. No they don't recommend it for c****-**, but I'm unclear why. It won't hurt and there is plenty of data that suggests it helps.

It's what the OP was about, wasn't it?

It's to the general benefit of public safety for federal agencies to provide counter indicators to untested products. There are no science based studies that indicate the use of ivermectin for C***d.

Thats because the fda shut down any doctors trying to do those studies in the U.S. There are studies from other countries that appear to show it works and there is good anecdotal evidence from the U.S. as well.

See what happened in South America.

If it was so effective, drug companies would be creating ivermectin based drugs under FDA-approved testing protocols for all kinds of other uses and you'd be seeing non-stop tv ads for them and their effectiveness.

The FDA and science still do not recommend ivermectin for humans?

What is Ivermectin and How is it Used?
“Ivermectin tablets are approved by the FDA to treat people with intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis, two conditions caused by parasitic worms. In addition, some topical forms of ivermectin are approved to treat external parasites like head lice and for skin conditions such as rosacea.”

“Some forms of animal ivermectin are approved to prevent heartworm disease and treat certain internal and external parasites. It’s important to note that these products are different from the ones for people, and safe only when used in animals as prescribed.”
