Your first transistor radio?
These two are from the sixties.
Started with a two transistor in 1962!
I still have my Philco AM radio from the mid 60's.

Yes, Philco...mid to late 50's. Wish I had a photo to post.
Couldn’t tell you the brand I had, but seeing these brings back memories of riding the school bus with my trusty transistor held to my ear, listening to Dan Ingraham on WABC Radio in New York. The crackle while finding just the right spot on the analog dial is part of the soundtrack of my childhood.

I was going to send you a picture of my Philco AM radio, but I'm on your ignore list......
Oh well.
We would bring them to school in the fall at world series time. The radio would be in our desk and the earphone cord would run up our sleeve and out our shirt into our ears. The teachers all knew, but let us do it anyway. Whenever something good happened, there would be shouts of joy from kids who were supposed to paying attention to the lesson.
Oh yeah! Remembrances from the late sixties of lying in bed late at night with my 8 transistor wedged between the pillow and my ear listening to Dick Biondi on clear channel WLS Chicago playing the R&R hits of the day.

Very nice with great memories, still have my Panasonic am/fm 6 transistor from the early 60's. Mine is still functional, on/off volume control a little scratchy needs cleaning.
If anyone wants to post a picture of the Philco transistor radio that they "think" I may have had in the 50"s, I'd bet the OP would grant you permission to do so on his topic. Of course, I'm sure Philco produced quite a few.
Don't think a PM would be necessary. Oh well.

Mine's from the mid 60s, but I'd still ask Tradio before doing so, it's his thread.

READ my previous post.
I did....
What don't you like? The fact that you explicitly stated 50's?
OPs radios were from the 60's
Besides, not your thread, and it was MY first transistor radio.

It appears that you did not read my original post in it's entirety. I had already suggested that any photos posted to this thread should be with the permission of the Original Poster. I think this clearly indicates that I am aware it is not my thread. Actually, I could care less whether or not anyone posts an image of what I may have owned.
Secondly, I never see the need for a Private Message. Personally, I have nothing to say that I feel needs to be hidden.
By the way, the first transistor radios were on the market in 1954.
