Stopped by the riverfront yesterday morning and grabbed some snaps of the scenery. Then as I was leaving I caught a snap of historic old St. Agatha's Catholic Church. Leica SL w/35mm Biogon and Fuji X-T4 w/14mm

Brings back memories of a youth spent in South St. Louis and hitching short rides on riverfront trains in South St. Louis... Wonder if the old " Admiral " is still there and running on the river ? Used to look forward to end of school year excursions on the Admiral and all the arcade games.

I've been the church. In fact, the grounds surrounding it contain other buildings--a rectory and a convent. The architecture and craftsmanship is remarkable. That area is now in decline. It's a shame. I hope this building remains standing.

In the Soulard area of the city. Almost adjacent to the A-B brewery.

The Admiral is gone -- finally headed for the scrap heap in 2010.

I was just over there this morning. I own a lot on Wilmington (two blocks north of Holy Hills just east of the park) that my wife and I have planted with fruit trees (mini orchard). Got to start mowing again for the season.
