Fuji Neopan Acros 100 II

Acros II is extremely fine grain with a wide tonal range. The film is an excellent choice for landscapes, macro, and fine art applications, anything where a lack of film grain is desired.

Neopan was originally a family of black-and-white films from Japanese manufacturer Fujifilm. Now in 2024, only one film remains: Neopan ACROS 100 II, a traditional silver halide black and white film re-launched in 2019 and currently sold worldwide.

Buckingham Fountain is a Chicago landmark in the center of Grant Park. Dedicated in 1927, it is one of the largest fountains in the world. The fountain operates from April to October, with regular water shows and evening color-light shows. During the winter, the fountain is decorated with festival lights.

Chicago's skyline is one of the world's tallest and easily ranks among the most magnificent. Chicago boasts four of America's eight tallest buildings.

Officially opened to the public on May 26, 1927 and dedicated on August 26, 1927, the Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain is the centerpiece of Grant Park—Chicago's "Front Yard.”

Buckingham Fountain was featured in the title sequences of TV shows Married... with Children and Crime Story. The fountain was the starting point for the television show The Amazing Race 6 in 2004.

Shouldn't these be in the "Black and White Photography" section?

I like the look of the Acros. It's a great choice for this subject. It must have been a windy day. It seems like the buildings in the first shot are blowing over as they are tilting towards the center. (Just kidding!)

These are quite beautiful Paul. It is a shame that Kodak no longer makes CN400BW film. I have one or two rolls left from my Canon EOS Rebel 2000. It would do the fountain an amazing tribute in creamy sepia tones.
