Neither did we. Even back then nobody lived on $110 a month. I tried to get MidJourney to make some realistic images of hippies but they kept coming out like skid row bums. My hair was below shoulder length, often in a pony tail, my bell bottoms were clean and my shirts had all their buttons.

Got out of the Army 24 April 1965. Moved into a house in Felton in time to start the Fall semester at Cabrillo College in Aptos. I immediately fell in with the "wrong crowd". The freedom of the life style after the regimented military experience resulted in me going crazy for a while
