If high resolution is important to you, a large sensor is the way to do it. With a larger sensor the pixel size is less diminished.

The math never changes...each sensor size uses the same math.

And it's a cropped sensor as it has the crop factor of 0.67 hehehe.

It's all the same math is the point.
Focal
Aperture
Iso
All governed by the same equations...no matter the format.
Crop factor refers to angle of view, not to exposure.
But you already knew that...
I like the idea. I had a Fuji GFX50s. It was nice but at the selection of lenses was slim. I currently use Sony equipment. I don't think I would be able to afford the medium format Sony.

A sensor and camera in the size range of the 120 & 220 film cameras. When they first came out I was tempted, until I saw the prices. I upgraded to a newer SUV instead. They would be outstanding for highly detailed images and making huge prints. For special purposes I just loved my Bronica medium format film camera.
Now I am into birds etc. so crop sensor and long lenses are my norm now. A little FF work, often macro as well as landscape.

In other words, the crop factor does not apply aperture, ISO or focal length other than to change the field of view and
effective focal length.
Glad we have cleared that up finally.
That's a lot of camera. I'm not sure I would ever have a need for it??
There have been a few confusing reports one was a 3:2 aspect ratio another 4:3 (like Phase one)
Another said it may not be a consumer sensor, , maybe scientific
The physical size in what I read WAS the "True" medium format width of 56mm (which is what 120 film was) and what only Phase One uses, but They use 4:3 aspect ratio so if it is 3:2 that is not drop in for any current camera.
I also read read-out speeds of 5 fps ?
I think it is interesting, but seems to be a no go for Fujifilm 7 Current Hasselblad (their lenses & cameras would have to be redesigned)
And I think Phase One makes their own sensors (but am not positive)
Unless Sony or Nikon wants to make a camera, but cameras with sensors that big are VERY low volume, and they would be starting from scratch, against Phase One & Rodenstok lenses.
I hope it shows up somewhere......
