If I had the money, I'd add a room to my house and invite Stever Perry to move in. Alternatively, I'd ask him if I could move into his house. šŸ˜

Steve is gold mine of photographic information, and I love what he has offered us about the Nikon Z cameras. When you buy one of his books, you can count on getting free updates when he produces them. Today, he offered a free update of his Z8/Z9 book (603 pages) and a free set of sheets for the Z8 and Z9.

Thank you, Steve!

I am a fan and subscriber to the forums at backcountrygallery.com For nature and wildlife photography, there is no better resource.

I hope you have room for his family and are not considering caging him as some do with animals...

Even as a TIC, this post ranks among the weirdest, yet.

Do correct his first name in the first message... You still have the time.

Since I can't afford even one room, adding several rooms wouldn't really make a difference.

So, in cages, it gets better and better...

Me tooā€¦and I'm actually going to Tanzania with him and Rose in a little bitā€¦then to Costa Rica in the summer although that's with his buddy Dennis down there under his brand/auspices/whatever.

He's an excellent educator and provides really excellent value for the buck in his booksā€¦and the forum is really a friendly place to be. I highly suggest joining over thereā€¦but just be aware the culture is a lot less confrontational than sometimes happens here.

When you said, "ā€¦and the forum is really a friendly place to be," I wondered what you were talking about. Surely, not UHH. Thanks for the tip.

Steve is fantastic. i have used his books for years and am never disappointed.

His books and vids are clear, concise and easy to read. Packed with info

I chuckle when I read people on here saying that we don't need supplemental books or vids and should just use the mfr supplied manual. Manuals tell you how to not why to, which Steve does marvelously.

There are moreā€¦letā€™s call them disagreements and perhaps less than completely civilā€¦debates here. Also a lot more topic police wannabeā€™s and sniping. Iā€™m not pointing any fingers at anybodyā€¦just my general impressions.

I know I am living in a medieval world of my own, but if he would produce his books in paper copy, I would buy one in a heartbeat even if it costs three times what he charges for his digital books. I just find it very very difficult to use digital technical manuals. Digital is fine when it comes to novels and even histories and biographies, but it is a pain in the rear when you have a technical manual and have to go back and forth etc.

Imagine the cost of printing and shipping a 600+ book. You could print one at home, but a commercial printer wouldn't print it because of copyright issues.

If I were to print it at home, I would want it to be in color and the cost would be enormous. It would cost much less if it were printed on a press in multiple copies.

As I said in my original post, I think Steve Perry's work is so valuable that I would pay double or triple the cost of the digital Edition to have his books in paper.
