i HAVE USED AHANDHELD MAGELLAN SPORTAK PRO UNIT TO RECOD LOCATIOS. IT SEEMS TO HAVE STOPPED FUNCTIONING. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SERVICE WHO CAN CHECK OUT AND REPAIR THIS UNIT?

I had an Admin explain to me that using All Capital Letters can be interpreted as shouting or yelling. While the OP (LenFagen) may not know this, I would like to help a fellow Hogger.
First head over to Magellan’s website. They are: Magellangps.com
Please ask yourself How old is this gps? It may be out of warranty. How expensive is a new model? It may be appropriate to buy a new model!
Finally, CHG_CANON can be a little snarky in his answers. None the less, people from Illinois are that way. Those of us from New York are much more direct. Please don’t use Capital letters. I would hate for you to be reprimanded by the Admin as a naughty school boy like I was!

Already did that twice. Still powers up looks for and locates some satellites but ill not draw map of my location.

Could you have been abducted by aliens and are not on planet Earth? Sorry to hear about your injury...I hope it heals quickly.
If you have a recent smartphone, why not use that for GPS/Map information. If you download map information from say, Google Map, for an area of interest, you don't even need interest access to use the map.

Try to perform a hard reset (initialization?) and clear all data in the memory. That might fix it according to some users....
