Interesting that 'Your' bison do not have white faces! They use their heads to 'bulldoze' the snow aside, so they can eat the grass underneath.
If you can't make it to Yellowstone: For those nearer go northeastern Oklahoma, there is a preserve by the name of "Tall Grass Prairie", just a little north of the town of Pawhuska, OK. It has a fairly large herd of Bison. Most folks would now associate Pawhuska with the recent movie "Killers of the Flower Moon". Wasn't planed, but we happened to visit there during its filming. Was kinda funny to see all of the vintage cars lined up on the street where they were filming, and not a one of them had a spec of dirt on them (all nice and shiny) on the dirt covered street! Pretty interesting town! Think "Pioneer Woman" store, Osage Nation Museum; Ben Johnson Cowboy Museum; and the original, old down town for a start!
